Cosmetic Injectables

Injectables are used to relax facial wrinkles and folds (such as “smile lines”), contour the body (such as reducing the appearance of a “double chin”) and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework and volume to the face and lips.

Dermalogica Chemical Peels

It’s a universal truth that cell turnover slows dramatically as we age – from approximately 20 days in younger adults and up to over 30 days in older adults. What’s not universal is this phenomenon’s impact on an individual’s skin. It’s a universal truth that cell turnover slows dramatically as we age – from approximately 20 days in younger adults and up to over 30 days in older adults. What’s not universal is this phenomenon’s impact on an individual’s skin. While some people experience fine lines and wrinkles, others may find themselves facing acne, hyperpigmentation or a combination of both!

Chemical peels are one of the most effective ways to address each of these skin concerns. However, just as every person’s skin is different, there's no such thing as "one peel fits all". To be truly efficacious, each peel should be tailor-made to address your skin needs and should be strong enough to accelerate cell turnover without inducing unnecessary inflammation.

One of the most effective non-surgical treatments, laser hair removal has become popular with both men and women. It's a convenient alternative if you struggle with razor burn, ingrown hair or folliculitis. Selective Waveband Technology (SWT®) IPL and Dual Mode Filtering, different from Broadband Light Therapy (BBL), as it allows the device to deliver precise light energy in specific wavelengths, selectively targeting the melanin (pigment) contained in each hair follicle and leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The pulses of light damage the hair follicles making them unable to regrow which leads to permanent hair reduction. Most patients need 6 to 10 sessions on average.

NOTE: SWT® laser hair removal is safe for all skin types and is Health Canada Certified for dark skinned patients (Fitzpatrick Skin Type 5 & 6). The applicator used emits light with wavelength 645nm to 950nm. This enables safe treatment in patients with a higher skin concentration of melanin. The penetration depth of these wavelength is enough to reach the deeper hair follicles.

Hello,

I’m Alyscia Kaufmann, a solo parent raising two teenage sons since the unexpected loss of my husband in 2016. In my journey to find independence, finding a balance between self care, work & my family, I’ve decided to pursue my passion for wellness and medical aesthetics.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Regina, with a focus on Fitness and Lifestyle. Personal experiences with loss and skin challenges reignited my interest in skincare, leading me to become a Certified Medical Aesthetician. I gained valuable experience at Bliss Permanent Cosmetics and am excited to support others with both cosmetic and skin health concerns.

Having dealt with Melasma, wrinkles and Rosacea myself, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of stress on skin. Discovering the effectiveness of Dermalogica products prompted me to pursue Expert Certification with the brand, enabling me to provide precise diagnosis, treatment, and counselling to clients.

I’m excited to collaborate with Leslie Anne at PUR Med Spa, bringing innovative skincare solutions and advanced technology to the Regina community.

During my 28 years of being a Registered Nurse I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas & communities in the US and Canada. In 2017, I began travel nursing in rural/remote areas of Canada. During COVID, I struggled with skin issues, as many of my colleagues can relate. Wearing masks became a constant struggle as I developed an allergy. Dealing with sensitive skin and hives on a daily basis made me look at skin care in a very different way. It was during that time that I began to study Medical Aesthetics & Cosmetic Injecting.

I started using Dermalogica skin care in my 20’s. I had tried many different products over the years and I would always go back to Dermalogica. I truly fell in love with the product and now the company. Their efficacy inspired me to complete extensive education on their product line so that I can diagnose, treat, and counsel clients on their skin. I am currently working on completing my “Expert” certification with Dermalogica.

I am so excited to start this new business with old friends and new. I truly feel the right people have been brought together so that we can create something special for Regina.
